The five day youth leadership conference includes interactive seminars, workshops, skill development, decision making exercises,skill competition and field trips. The YLC core curriculum includesLeadership Fundamentals, Character Development, American Heritage, Democracy, and Flag Etiquette.

Non-Discrimination Policy
Youth Leadership Conferences, Inc. grants students of any gender, race, color, orientation, national and/or ethnic origin all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students admitted to the program and/or conference.
Applications are accepted only from students in grades 10 & 11 in the current year.
What to Bring
- Alarm Clock (We "rise and shine" early each morning!)
- Bath Towel
- Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, sunscreen, etc)
- Notepad & Pens
- Clothing
- Swimming Suit
- Athletic Gear (shorts, t-shirst, shoes)
- Lock to secure your valuables
- A positive and collaborative attitude
- Print a list of things to bring to the OEC

- Alcohol, tabacco or non-prescription drugs
- Cell phones
- Knives and/or firearms
- Fireworks
- Radio, iPod

Housing and Meals
YLC will provide participants with meals and housing. Adult counselors will be available at all times to supervise student conduct in the housing facilities during the conference.
Participants should also keep in mind that they are guests of the MOWW YLCand should observe all campus rules, regulations, and be respectful of OEC facilities and staff.
Dress Code
- Casual dress that is appropriate
- No short shorts, tank tops or low rise jeans/shorts
- Shoes are required and must be worn at all times
Transportation and Travel
PLANE: Students arriving by air must fly into the John Wayne Airport where they will be met by a YLC staff member who will take them to the venue.
TRAIN: Students arriving by train must detrain at Irivine where they will be met by a YLC staff member who will take them to the conference site at Irvine Ranch OEC.
AUTO: Students arriving by car will be required to park their vehicle at a designated parking lot for the duration of the conference.
Special Note for Parents
Any student who violates YLC rules will be subject to immediate dismissal from the conference. Parents will be called to arrange transportation. The Conference Director will have final determination for all dismissals
